The Philadelphia Mausoleum of Contemporary Art (PhilaMOCA) introduces TUESDAY TUNE-OUT, a weekly night of music and movies. A local musician will take the stage every Tuesday at 8pm and will then introduce a previously unannounced film of their choice at 9pm. The screening will be preceded by an explanation as to why they chose the film and how it inspires them.
Each month will feature a different guest curator. June’s curator is local concert listings site Rockaphilly.com:
Door at 7:30, Performance at 8, Movie at 9. All ages; $5 donation.
July’s guest curator is Herbie Shellenberger (PET MILK) who is kicking off his month on Tuesday, July 10 (we’re taking off 7/3 for the holiday) with a performance from PET MILK followed by a 16mm screening of the Orson Welles-narrated documentary FUTURE SHOCK (1972).
August’s guest curator is Fred Knittel of Folkadelphia.
